Four Legged First Aid is taught by Sonya Wilson, a certified educator with many years of experience teaching both dogs and humans. She has been training pet owners and pet professionals in pet first aid since 2010. Sonya lives in Austin, Texas and is also the owner of Southpaws Playschool, climate controlled, free-range canine daycare.

Sonya has completed FEMA courses on Animals in Disaster and Disaster Command Infrastructure, and has attended the American Humane Association’s course on Sheltering During Disasters. She continues her education in pet first aid and disaster response so that she can present the most up to date information available.

Sonya is a member of the International Boarding and Pet Services Association (IBPSA) and has earned CPACP credentials through PACCC. Sonya is Fear Free Certified and Low Stress Handling Certified.
